A study has proved almost 50 per cent of people keep their snacking habits in the workplace a secret.
Research conducted by Ironmongery Direct has discovered 47 per cent of people in the UK don't tell their other halves what they have indulged in whilst at work.
And the survey, which was carried out on over 2,000 candidates, has learnt that a bacon sandwich is the most popular feast colleagues tuck into whilst at their desks, although their partners are none the wiser to their treats.
Whilst almost half of the public remain tight lipped about the food they eat, 21 per cent are believed to lie about their meals, as they say they have enjoyed a healthy treat when in fact they have scoffed a more gluttonous snack.
