The world is trying to get used to the fact that Whitney Houston has died. The singer was found dead over the weekend at the age of just 48. It has been reported that Whitney’s 18 year old daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown has also been in hospital. It is thought she was rushed there yesterday after she was taken out of the hotel on a stretcher. It is the same hotel in which Whitney was found, the Beverley Hilton. We know that Bobbi had already got involved in an angry shouting match with police outside the hotel room where her mother was found dead, as the officers would not let her see the body. We are told she was "hysterical, exhausted and inconsolable." Whitney’s boyfriend Ray J was also refused permission to see the body. He had not been with her at all that day or the night before but rushed to her hotel as soon as he heard the news. He is said to be "crushed" by Whitney's passing. Whitney’s ex husband and Bobbi’s father, Bobby Brown took to the stage in Mississippi the night that Whitney was found, and said that he did it for his loyal fans. He did at one point, point to the sky and say “I love you Whitney.†Although we hear that backstage he had been having crying fits. There was a tribute arranged for Whitney at last night’s Grammy’s. She had actually been due to attend a Grammy’s party the night her body was found in the bath. It is thought that her team become worried after she had spent a long time in the bathroom and needed to get ready. It is believed that a member of her team went into the bathroom and discovered her in the bath. An autopsy on the body of Whitney Houston is underway, but early reports suggest that she drowned. There were no illegal drugs found but prescription drugs were, and there is a possibility that these drugs mixed with alcohol the night before, heavily sedated Whitney and caused the drowning. Whitney’s family have released a statement which says: "We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Whitney. This is an unimaginable tragedy and we will miss her terribly. We appreciate the outpouring of love and support from her fans and friends."
