Victoria Beckham "needs to work" to prove she can be successful without the Spice Girls or her husband David. Although the former Spice Girls singer-turned-fashion designer and her soccer player husband may have millions in the bank and have been hugely successful in their respective fields, Victoria admits she suffers from low self-esteem and doubts her abilities. In an interview in the new issue of Britain's ELLE magazine, she said: "When I was on stage with the Spice Girls, I thought people were there to see the other four and not me. And when I go out with David and people take pictures, I think, 'They're here to take David's picture.' "It was never my intention to prove anybody wrong. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. I don't have to work, I need to work." The 38-year-old designer also says nothing has ever been handed to her in her life and she has had to work hard for everything she has achieved in the music and fashion industries.
