Since the sad, shock news of the death of Hollywood director Tony Scott yesterday, celebs have been taking to twitter to pay their tributes. One A lister has stepped forward to admit that Scott pretty much made his career. Tom Cruise starred in Scotts film Top Gun back in 1986, and 4 years later appeard in the TOm Scott directed 'Days of Thunder' Paying tribute to the director and his effect on Cruise's stellar career the actor says... "Tony was my dear friend and I will really miss him. He was a creative visionary whose mark on film is immeasurable. My deepest sorrow and thoughts are with his family at this time." Tom's ex-wife and Days of Thunder co-star, Nicole Kidman, also was close to the Hollywood heavyweight and has said: "I'm so so sad. I loved Tony and he was always so good to me. He will be deeply missed by so many of us that knew him." The director died after jumping from a bridge in Los Angeles, The Los Angeles County Coroner's office said Scott's death was being investigated as a suicide.
