Leonardo DiCaprio’s new movie has had its released date out back. The Great Gatsby was meant to be release at Christmas this year, but the film makers have got cold feet over how well the film will do with stiff competition. The date it was due to be out on December 25th, there are a few other highly anticipated films out. There is The Hobbit, which Lord of The Rings fans are practically already queuing up to see, and also Les Miserables. Another one due out on that day is Django Unchained, which also stars Leonardo DiCaprio – he really has got about a bit in the movies. So, the makers of The Great Gatsby have chickened out a little and will release the film further into 2013 instead. The adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald’s novel has been tipped already to win Oscars, but Baz Lurman the director of the film, also wants box office success. The movie has been remade in 3D and the soundtrack has been modernised. Kanye West, Jay Z and Jack White all have songs on the soundtrack. As well as Leonardo, the film also stars the old Spiderman Tobey Maguire and also Carey Mulligan. We’re sure Carey Mulligan will appreciate the film release being put back – it means that she won’t have to do lots of crazy promotion work over Christmas and she can have a romantic Christmas with her new husband. Carey and Marcus – from Mumford and Sons got married in April in a very small ceremony and have been spotted looking totally loved up ever since. Only last week they were spotted strolling through New York, hand in hand, gazing into each other’s eyes like they were part of the ending of a Disney film. Ah, a genuinely in love couple. We like it!
