Butter wouldn’t melt Taylor Swift has had an advert banned in America. It is a beauty advert in CoverGirl and it has officially been told it cannot be used by the advertising bods. Their name is the National Advertising Division and they claimed that Taylor’s ad contained excessive photoshop editing. The advert wasn’t for anything rude or naughty, it was for Nature Luxe Mousse Mascara. The director of the place that banned the ad said: "You can't use a photograph to demonstrate how a cosmetic will look after it is applied to a woman's face and then - in the mice type - have a disclosure that says 'Okay, not really'," We’re guessing that the picture made Taylor’s mascara look amazing, but there must have been something in the small print to say that the picture was photoshopped. To be honest, the fact that the advert has got banned has given the said mascara more publicity than if the advert had gone in the magazine. Maybe they have been very clever about this. Taylor, apart from advertising – or shall we say not advertising – mascaras, is also currently writing a new album. She has said it is very different to her previous work. Well, let’s hope she doesn’t change too much about her style, with the success she’s had. She recently won ‘Artist of the Year’ at the American Music Awards. In fact, that was just the biggest award she won that night – she actually won everything she was nominated for. She also won Favourite Country Female Artist – that bagged that one for the 4th year in a row, and she also got Favourite Country Album. She just added that list of awards on to an already huge number – including Entertainer of the Year at the Country Music Association awards. Who knows, maybe her next album will really surprise and be RnB or techno or something!?
