Taylor Swift is pretty, successful, got lots of money, and she has made a huge gesture recently which just shows what a nice person she is too. She has donated a massive $4 million to charity on one big swoop. The charity does mean a lot to her – it’s the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville – but still, that is a whopping amount. She has decided to give that much at once so that an education centre can be built. They have decided to name the education centre after her too, which is a nice touch – it will be the Taylor Swift Education Centre. Her $4 million gift is officially the biggest ever charitable donation to the fund by a musician – and we can imagine it is – the rich and famous don’t tend to part with that kind of money so willingly normally! The director of the museum has been talking about how Taylor’s money and the education centre will change so many peoples lives. He said: “For Taylor to want to engage herself in the life of this place in such an appropriate way, every way you slice it and dice it, it's great." It’s going to take a while to build so it will be 2014 when the education centre opens. It will allow the museum to increase its youth education programs which Taylor has already been involved with. She volunteers regularly at the fundraisers. Taylor has been doing some work recently with Ed Sheeran – well, according to both of their twitter pages. Ed Sheeran wrote: "Writing songs with a very cool artist today. In and Out Burger, defacing guitars and writing music with Taylor Swift," And on the same day, Taylor wrote: "Eating cheeseburgers, scribbling on guitars, writing songs with Ed Sheeran." Now we would be very interested to hear what they came up with!
