Susan Boyle has finally decided to have a go back at Ricky Gervais. Normally celebrity slanging matches are relatively instant, but Subo has taken nearly a year to come back to Ricky’s comments. Ricky Gervais used a very offensive word about Susan Boyle. He said that he thought she looked like a mong – a not nice word used to describe sufferers of Downs Syndrome. Ricky said: "I don't think she'd be where she is today if it wasn't for the fact that she looked like such a (you fill in the gap). There is no better word to describe Susan Boyle.” Ricky’s comments were investigated as offensive comments, but he was cleared. To hit back, we thought that Subo had taken her time so she could come up with a really offensive thing to say back to him, but no. She has not risen to the row and instead more taken pity on him. She said: "I can take whatever Ricky says, because I'll tell you something — he's the one with the problem, not me. Ricky's a talented man but he's wasted himself with those comments. I think people who liked him are not so keen now." Susan Boyle did actually have problems at birth. She was starved of oxygen for a short time and so does have minor learning difficulties. This is all shown in the story of her life, which will be a touring play very soon. Susan herself makes a guest appearance in the play and is said to be enjoying rehearsals very much, if not getting a bit emotional at parts. We’d also think she may have more money in the bank than Ricky Gervais. She’s had 3 number one albums, which have sold more than 17 million copies worldwide. She’s made about £11 million so far! Not a bad wage really!
