It’s the rumour that won't go away - will Cheryl Cole come back to The X Factor USA? Apparently Simon Cowell is hopeful that she will now that Chez is looking to move to America. Cheryl was of course sacked from the first series of the US show and replaced with Nicole Scherzinger. The Girls Aloud star then fell out with Simon only to sort a work things out and become “frienemies” with the talent show boss. Ever since there has been constant speculation about Cheryl rejoining The X Factor (although let’s not forget she was a guest judge with Gary Barlow) and now it’s thought she might return because she’s moving to the US. “Simon would love to have Cheryl back. They’re chatting more and more at the moment and he’s hopeful she might be up for coming back. She’s still spending a lot of time in the States and wants to move out there so it’d looking more likely to be on the cards,” a source tells The Mirror. Cheryl has filed a lawsuit against X Factor USA’s production company Blue Orbit for lost earnings of £1.25 million plus other costs - which surely presents a bit of a hiccup. As with all the X Factor speculation here and in the US, we’ll just have to wait and see. Unless Simon suddenly becomes a big blabber mouth.
