Here is Sacha Baron Cohen at the Cannes film festival – or should we say General Aladeen – his latest character. Sacha’s new film is called The Dictator and is set to be yet another controversial watch, and even just his stunts to promote the film have been controversial. This one at Cannes had to be the best yet, if not for a very un-planned moment. After posing with the 2 ladies with guns, Sacha attempted to get on the back of a camel – as you do. This was all going on outside the city’s historic Carlton Hotel. What is it they say? Never work with children and animals... and maybe this little fall is why.... Clip – fall Well, that was a close one.... and to be fair, it could have been a lot worse. We do have to see that moment again though.... Brilliant! That might teach Sacha Baron Cohen to do silly things, or maybe not! Other stunts he has done to promote the new film, include being seen on a yacht holding a gun, and also frolicking around with Elisabetta Canalis on a boat too. In fact, that stunt was probably the most thought out. Sacha, dresses as General Aladeen, spent a long time flirting with Elisabetta on the deck of the boat. They shared champagne, he tickled her, gave her a seductive massage... but then noticeably began to get bored of her and started dragging her round by her feet. The next thing, they disappeared and he threw a body bag overboard, designed to make us think Elisabetta was in it! We do worry sometimes as to where Sacha Baron Cohen gets these ideas from!
