Russell Brand is being investigated for allegedly destroying a photographer’s phone by throwing it through a window, and he has got on twitter and not exactly denied the rumours either. The incident happened in New Orleans and the owner of the phone has filed a police report for criminal damages. The phone owner was apparently stood with other photographers when Russell Brand took his phone. The mobile phone owner claims that Brand approached him, snatched his cell phone and tossed the device though a nearby glass window. The police have confirmed that they are investigating the matter and are hoping to speak with Russell Brand soon. In true Russell Brand style he has posted a rather sarcastic and funny n update on twitter which says: “Since Steve Jobs died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iphone irreverently. What I did was a tribute to his memory” It’s not the first time that Russell’s name has been associated with a run-in with a photographer. In 2010, he was arrested for battery after a scuffle with a paparazzi, but the charge was later dropped. We wonder what his new girlfriend Oriela Medellin thinks about all this. She was actually with him when he threw the phone through a window. The couple do seem to be spending a lot of time together, considering they’ve only been seeing each other 4 weeks. They apparently met at their local yoga class and have fallen for each other. His divorce isn’t even through yet. He’s a fast mover. But we needn’t worry about Katy Perry. She’s been spotted with a fit French model on her arm. They are both clearly moving on.
