Rod Stewart inspired Ronnie Wood to have more children. The Rolling Stones' rocker's wife of three years Sally Humphries is due to give birth to twins shortly after he turns 69 in June and he credits his 71-year-old former Faces bandmate - who has eight children from various relationships, including young sons Alastair, nine, and Aiden, five, with wife Penny Lancaster - for encouraging him to start a new chapter so late in life. Ronnie said: "Yes, the person who incited this riot is Rod. As soon as I met Sally, he was on at me to propose. "Then, as soon as we got married, he started telling us we had to have babies." But the 'Brown Sugar' musician is thankful for his friend's support. He added: "He and Penny have been complete mother hens since we first told them." And Ronnie - who has grown-up children, Jesse, 39, from his first marriage to Krissy Findlay, Leah, 37 and Tyrone, 32, with second wife Jo Wood, and is the adopted dad of her son Jamie, 42 - admitted he "didn't imagine" he'd be a father again. He added to Britain's HELLO magazine: "I'm so blessed and so excited to have this happen to me at my time of life. "I didn't imagine it would happen and what a wonderful gift we've been given."
