Peaches Geldof has reportedly given birth to her second child, with her husband, Thomas Cohen by her side. The 24-year-old former model turned presenter – who already has one son, Astala, 1, with hubby Tom – welcomed her new bundle of joy on Wednesday. Peaches opted to have a Caesarean section on April 24th as this date is particularly special to her – it would have been her late mother, Paula Yates’ 54th birthday. Last year, when Peaches was pregnant with her first child, she was told her due date was coincidentally her mother’s birthday and at the time she said: ‘It was amazing for me when they told me that, very emotional and touching and just really beautiful. I was so happy.’ However, Astala eventually came along a week early. This time it wasn’t left to chance and last night, a source close to the happy couple revealed: ‘They are absolutely over the moon about their new arrival. ‘It all went smoothly and Peaches will be in hospital for a while to recuperate. ‘Bob is absolutely over the moon — the whole family are.’ The source added: ‘They are particularly pleased about the significance of the date as it makes Peaches feel she is keeping her mum’s memory alive.’ Peaches and Thomas have named the latest addition to their family, Phaedra – after an album and song by Peaches favourite band, Tangerine Dream.
