We’re still so pleased at the news that Peaches Geldof has had her baby. Well, we say pleased, which we are, but we’re also still shocked and cannot actually imagine her changing nappies. However, that is probably what she’s doing right now, or cleaning up baby sick – and with the scale of some of Peaches nights out over the years, we at least think that they cleaning up sick is something she’ll be used to. She has had a little boy and his name is Astala. Yes, she hasn’t disappointed on the whole celebrities naming their babies weird names. Peaches announced the news on her twitter account and said: “Yes, its true- I’M A MUMMY!!!!” She also then wrote about how happy she is and said: “My little boy is the most beautiful thing in this world. When he holds @tomfromscum’s finger with his hand its the sweetest thing ever. X” We did chuckle at the fact that she’s talking about a sweet little baby, but her fiancée’s twitter name is tomfromscum – it just spilt it slightly! The baby’s dad is Tom Cohen – and his band is called SCUM, hence the name on twitter. They have had a whirlwind romance really, but not so much for Peaches, who once got married after just a month of being with someone. At 19 she was a divorcee, so by her standards really, she’s taking it slowly with this new man. They announced their engagement in December, and said that they had actually been engaged for 6 months, but had kept it a secret. They said that they weren’t going to actually get married for a while, and we can now see why, with the arrival of a little baby. Peaches’ publicist also made an official announcement about it yesterday. It said: “Peaches and Thomas are delighted to announce the birth of their son Astala. Both were overjoyed at his arrival this week.”
