We spotted Michelle Williams in such a rush to get into her car, she practically jumped in it. Maybe it’s all the excitement of winning a Golden Globe. She picked up the ‘Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy’ award earlier on this week and was very chuffed to do so. She thanked her daughter Matilda in her acceptance speech. Matilda’s father is the late Heath Ledger. Michelle has been talking recently about exactly how traumatic his death was for her. They had dated for several years and had their daughter together. He was found dead in his apartment in New York in 2008. Michelle said: "It was making me crazy. I felt like I was going crazy. It was too much - trying to deal with what had happened and trying to deal with what was at our doorstep. I just felt trapped." She explained how having their daughter made it harder. She said: "It's not just me - there's somebody else who I'm trying to protect, and I can't. I can't make it stop, I can't make it go away. Trying to find ways to explain it or shield her from it. It's like you're trying to go about your life, and make dinner." Despite their rocky relationship, Michelle has fond memories of Heath – especially from when they first met. She said: "Our initial meeting, the circumstances of how we first met, were cosmic or something. A lot of things happened at once.” On a much lighter note, Michelle has also said she would go back to Dawson’s Creek in a heartbeat. Right, well we all agree. They definitely need to bring that back!
