Matthew Perry wants you to know that he is not responsible for the most recent rumor that a Friends reunion is in the works. Jennifer Aniston jokingly pointed the finger at Perry when she Ellen DeGeneres asked her about the rumor. "I did not," Perry told me at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. "I was the first one to nix it!" Not that he doesn't have an idea about how to bring the cast back together. "I think what we do is a show called Old Friends, and it's on a park bench and when we're in our eighties," Perry said. Meanwhile, mini-reunions have occurred, with Courteney Cox recently making a guest appearance on Perry's hit sitcom Go On. He'll be returning the favor by appearing on Cougar Town. And speaking of Ms. Cox,one of her former costars from Family Ties is returning to sitcom work. Michael J. Fox stars in a new series for NBC set to premiere in September inspired by his own life battling Parkinson's disease. When asked if he'll have any of his former costars on the show, Fox said wife (and onetime Family Ties girlfriend) Tracy Pollan has signed on. "She's going to get free meals," he said regarding the missus' compensation. "She doesn't have to cook them for a change."
