Lady Gaga is finally easing her way back onto the stage as she gave an impromptu performance during a night out last week. The 27-year-old, who has been missing from the celebrity circuit since her hip surgery in February, surprised the audience as she jumped on stage with jazz trumpeter Brian Newman during his gig in New York last Thursday. Gaga is said to have wowed a small crowd at the Gramercy Park Hotel when she joined the musician for a surprise rendition of Someone to Watch over Me. ‘Thanks to the 1&only @ladygaga for coming out to @GPHhotel tonight an singing a song!!’ Newman tweeted after the show at the Rose Bar. The You & I singer was forced to cancel the rest of her ‘Born This Way Ball’ tour in March to undergo surgery on her right hip which had been torn. Gaga has since been recovering at her New York home but was spotted on a rare night out with her boyfriend Taylor Kinney at a screening for The Great Gatsby last week.
