We’re not sure that any child star of films has made it into the celebrity world without some kind of rehab attendance – and Kirsten Dunst is no exception. In 2008, she checked into rehab to be treated for depression, and admitted to this last year. Although, to be fair, she starred in her first Hollywood film as a child in 1994, so it had taken her a while to end up down the dark road. Unlike an example like Drew Barrymore, childhood star of ET, but then also childhood drug addict. Kirsten has been talking recently and says that she has her mum to thank for her upbringing and keeping her feet on the ground, despite being famous for much of her childhood years. At 29, she can now look back and thank her mother. She said: "My mum wasn't my manager but she was always with me on set. She would bring the pasta machine and make homemade pasta wherever we went. My mum was way more laid back than my dad, so I had a good balance." Kirsten’s parents actually divorced when she was 13, so she had that to deal with too. She does insist though, that she was just a normal kid. She said: "I've never been a prima donna so I never had problems. I always went to regular schools - I always had my seat at the cafeteria when I came back from acting and I never felt like an alien in my life because of what I did." Kirsten now is one of the most recognisable faces of Hollywood, and she has recognisable body parts too, after appearing topless in the film Melancholia last year. Nevermind what the men thought, us girls were very jealous at her set! And ignoring all that, the film also got rave reviews.
