Kim Kardashian and Kanye West called their son Saint because he is a "blessing". The couple - who have two-year-old daughter North - welcomed their second child into the world on Saturday (05.12.15) and are said to have opted for the holy moniker after a "difficult pregnancy". Sources told E! that the pair decided on the name Saint because they wanted to show how much of a blessing the little one is in their lives after a tough birth. Kim reportedly suffered from placenta accreta, where the placenta remains attached to the womb when she gave birth to Saint on Saturday, nearly three weeks ahead of her due date on Christmas Day (25.12.15). A source said: "She had a really tough birth because of the issues with her placenta." The 35-year-old reality TV star had the same problem when she gave birth to first child North and ahead of Saint's arrival she revealed there was an increased chance of the same issue occurring again, which could mean she requires a hysterectomy after the pregnancy. She said: "With the issues I had last time, my risk of having preclampsia and placenta acreeta are increased and there's not a whole lot I can do to prevent it, so my anxiety is a little high leading up to my delivery. "In a very rare case, I might need a hysterectomy after delivery if my condition is severe enough, but luckily my doctor doesn't think this will happen. So as time goes on, I am stressing out less and trying to go with the flow." Kim confirmed the name of her and 38-year-old rapper Kanye's second child on Twitter. Alongside several emojis, she wrote: "SAINT WEST (sic)"
