Katy Perry’s dad Keith has been preaching about his daughter and asking congregations to pray for her. Keith and his wife Mary are currently touring the US speaking in various churches - the couple have reportedly been screening a video suggesting that Katy is a “devil child” who needs “healing”, reports The Sun newspaper. Keith has also ranted in a sermon at Santa Fe Springs, California that he once wept at one of his daughter’s own concerts because her fans should have been worshiping God and not Katy. “I was at a concert of Katy’s where there were 20,000. I’m watching this generation and they were going at it. It almost looked like church. I stood there and wept and kept on weeping and weeping. They’re loving and worshipping the wrong thing.” Katy has previous spoken about her relationship with her parents, admitting that while they don’t agree with all her choices they do still love her, “People love the idea of a good girl gone bad, thinking that my parents were so strict and disowned me, but that actually wasn't the case. Even though they don't necessarily agree with some of the things I do, they love me as their daughter. That's always been their perspective.”
