We all saw the GHD adverts, which featured Katy Perry looking all glam and lovely. But now Katy’s been dropped as the face of GHD for not being as big a star as she used to be. In 2011 Katy earned $4.5 million as an ambassador for the brand, but the Wide Awake star is still owed additional money from the Jemella Group – the company behind the hair-care brand – after orally agreeing to extend her contract, according to TMZ. But GHD are refusing to renew her contract, which would earn Katy $2 million, after market research proved that the 28 year old was growing unpopular. "Jemella's attempt to embarrass Ms. Perry by including defamatory statements about her in a public filing is shameful," Katy's rep told TMZ before confirming they will sue if the money remains outstanding. "They're backing out of the deal because of an ownership change, and just throwing shade to hide their bad faith," the rep claimed. Oh dear…
