It was the Mango Fashion Awards this week, and of course with Kate Moss being the face of the brand, she was on hand in Barcelona to help out – and of course, any excuse for a party. The high street shop Mango show cased the designs of the 10 finalists of the fashion awards and a jury picked a winner. Kate Moss was a judge, as were other fashion experts, including somebody from Vogue. Mango put the event on in the hope to encourage and strengthen the international projection of young talent in fashion. Kate moss talked about the event – yes, she spoke – we know it’s a rare occurrence. She said: “MANGO is amazing because they are supporting the young designers that eventually are going to be designing for massive companies like MANGO.’’ On being a judge. Kate said: ''I'm honoured, it’s really nice to be here.’’ Kate also commented on the winner’s designs and said: "It was very intricate, it was leather and woven, and pleated – it was well made.'' Unfortunately Kate didn’t make any kind of reference to Pete Doherty’s comments in Cannes last week. Pete, Kate’s dodgy ex, said that Kate still calls him when she is drunk. He said: “Kate wants to get drunk and call me and talk s***. That’s fine but I wouldn’t be able to do that to her. Anyway, she’s married. I’ve listened to her on voicemail. A couple of times she’s got drunk and called me and been a bit silly. But she’s a happily married woman, why does she want to speak to me. Maybe she’s still in love with me... No, she’s not. She hates my guts anyway." Well, she probably hates his guts more for telling the world that she drunk calls him. And let’s hope she is still happily married after her hubby heard about all of that!
