Do you remember when Michael Jackson dangled baby Blanket over a German balcony in 2002? Well, Justin Bieber just did something completely different in Paris. In fact the only thing vaguely relating the two incidents is that they both involved balconies and both caused streets to be blocked full of screaming incoherent fans. Justin is currently in the city of love as part of his tour performing 'secret' small gigs. He performed a couple of his best known hits on his record label's balcony with the accompaniment of a guitarist and about a squillion screaming girls. He sang through a megaphone while looking very dapper in a leather jacket, black shirt and jeans. The crowd spilled round to behind the Pantheon monument in the Latin Quarter, which unless you're very familiar with Paris probably means nothing to you, but take our word for it - that means there were loads of folk there. Justin had tweeted earlier in the day, "PARIS! 20-22, rue des Fosses Saint-Jacques. 1:30 today will be #withDanKanter singing on the balcony! come sing with me!" Justin has had an eventful few weeks. He got into a scuffle with a photographer before he left the US which has apparently ended in a battery case being filed with prosecutors. His fans in Norway then chased him in lots of boats when he arrived, leading some security people to consider declaring a state of emergency. He then went to Paris and ran head first into a glass door, knocking himself out. He managed to finish the rest of his song before fading into unconsciousness though, proving he's a consummate professional. All in all he makes us feel pretty lazy and we got up 6.30am this morning.
