Jessie J apparently gets mistaken for a man. She is now taking steps to try and stop this. She has told that she will tone down her look and make up so people don’t think she is a male. The reasons she gives for putting on so much paint on her face is because she wants to make herself look more awake. She said: "I have calmed down my look. Is it really necessary to wear all that make-up at 7am and look like a drag queen? When you're tired you start to over-compensate for it by wearing too much bling." She’s right, but then again, she’s a pop star, she can get away with the bling! Jessie has just started work on the new UK TV show The Voice. The show is already a success in America with the likes of Adam Levine, CeeLo Green and Christina Aguilera working on it. Jessie looks set to make the show just as big in the UK, along with Danny from The Script, Tom Jones and Will I Am. The show sees contestants audition to be the next big thing, but their looks aren’t taken into consideration; it is purely about the voice. The show producers hope that Jessie will bring a cool and trendy edge to the show. Although maybe with her recent confessions she won’t be wearing so much make up. Jessie has also been talking about the false information about her which is posted, which probably doesn’t help with the whole ‘people thinking she’s a man’ thing. She talked about how she copes with it and said: "On my Wikipedia page, it said I'd had a sex change. But as long as you're spending 90 per cent of your time doing music, you're OK. I sing four times a week, otherwise I feel like I'm cheating on my real job."
