Celebrities nowadays have so many different things going on that we can’t keep up. Jessica Alba is now actress turned household product producer and has been talking about why she did it and what gave her the inspiration to do it in the first place. It is an eco friendly line of products and she claims that they have no horrible chemicals in. The brand is called Honest – we’re guessing maybe a little after her daughter, Honour. She revealed recently that she’d had the idea for years but it had taken a while to get all the background work done. She said: "I came up with the idea. I had to pitch it to my partners and they came on board and together we created the company from scratch. From the packaging to the bottles to the product that's inside, the way that the interfacing is with the website, all of that is really from me... it's taken three years to get here." Jessica has talked this week about what gave her the inspiration to set up the business. Ashe told about how she got ill as a child. She said: "As a child, I suffered from many different bizarre kind of health issues. I realised over time that when I eliminated fragrances and toxic chemicals in my environment, and especially Clorox, Lysol, the harsher ingredients that are in those products, it eliminated my allergies and my reactions. And so that was kind of a breakthrough moment for me, in knowing that you can control the environment that you live in and it will affect your health." And Jessica isn’t going to let the opportunity to make money stop here – sorry – the opportunity to make the world a better place stop here – she has also revealed that she plans to release her first book, The Honest Life in 2013.
