One thing we can always rely on Hugh Hefner for is his honestly – and he always will talk about things at the right point to get maximum publicity. Just as Lindsay Lohan’s copy of Playboy has gone on sale, Hugh has been talking about his feeling about it. Now, we know that the magazine has had huge publicity from the Lindsay naked shoot. Firstly, the photos were taken and Hef wasn’t happy about them. Then, Lindsay was given a jail sentence, but told in court she could go and do her Playboy photo shoot again as it was earning her a great deal of money, so she did the shoot and then reported for prison. The photos were talked about so much that they got leaked online, and viewed by millions – this then forced the Playboy magazine to push forward the issue of the release of her front cover by several weeks. Hugh has now said, that before all of that happened, he was initially unsure about Lindsay posing for Playboy as she carried around some serious luggage. His words! Hugh said: "The concept came from my editors… I had mixed emotions to begin with. I could not have anticipated, quite frankly, that it would turn out to be such a sensational newsworthy event, or that the pictorial would turn out so well." Hef has also suggested that his magazine might put Lindsay back on the straight and narrow. He said: "Historically, Playboy pictorials are connected to celebrities at various times in their career. Sometimes it's the beginning of their career and sometimes it comes at a particular moment - as with Lindsay - that is intended as a turnaround." And well, apparently she earned $1 million dollars from it – surely that’s enough to turn anyone’s life around. Lindsay has commented since the mag was released that she thinks posing for Playboy has made her more comfortable with her body.
