Here is Hugh Laurie in London. He did look a little bit tired and also seemed confused as to what time of day it was. It was actually afternoon, but he thought it was morning... Well we blame our pap for a bit of that, he did confuse him and say morning in the first place! Hugh Laurie has just come top of a poll a poll that was done to find out who Dr Who fans would most like to see play the Dr in the film version. With it being announced that the Harry Potter director will be making a big screen Dr Who Movie, everyone is wondering who will play the Dr, especially as Matt Smith who plays Dr Who in the TV shows has said he wouldn't be interested. A statement said: 'As one of the UK's most celebrated TV characters of all-time, fans are thrilled about the prospect of a Doctor Who movie, with talk immediately turning to who should play the lead role. And with his combination of wit, intelligence, charm and eccentricity, Hugh Laurie was the runaway winner of our poll, with fans believing the Brit to be the perfect man to play the Time Lord on the big screen." Hugh Laurie currently lends his voice to the animated film Arthur Christmas and admits that he was drawn to the film as he is a big kid at heart. He also said: 'It's a great story that deals with the question every kid asks which is Ôhow is it possible that Santa is giving me gifts at the same time as everybody else?' This film is a version of how it might work. And Santa Claus isn't an all powerful wizard, he's an ordinary flesh and blood guy with a family, and he celebrates Christmas himself, and he tries to do the right thing by as many people as he can.' Arthur Christmas is out now and getting very good reviews especially by kids!
