Here is Scottish star Emeli Sande in London, and we have to say, she wasn’t looking the best. We don’t think she was expecting the cameras - Quite a few bags under the eyes there and she appeared to be wearing an old tent – although her hair did look good! She is the latest star tipped to crack America as she has been getting great reviews over there. Her songs Heaven and Next To Me are already doing very well across Europe. Emeli said: “We started very slow in America. It was small acoustic shows. We played places like Los Angeles, New York and Chicago and everywhere there has been a great reaction. It has been really lovely. They listen to the lyrics and the melody over there and the reaction has been fantastic. It is a good feeling and it feels like it is bubbling. It is a good time to come to America.” Emeli has had a brilliant past year – which included touring with Coldplay. She talked about how Chris Martin and the other lads taught her how to be disciplined on stage. She said: ''When you watch them onstage it's so energetic, but there's still an intimacy to it. So I guess I've learned that from them, and there's such discipline going on with them behind the scenes. 'Everything is very considered and everybody is very welcome and those are things I'll take with me for the rest of my career.'' Coldplay were so impressed with Emeli that they asked her to tour with them in America too which she starts this month. She talked about how nervous she was about the first time she shared the stage with them. She said: ''It's difficult because you think, 'This is a crowd which came for Coldplay, how will they react to my music?' 'But after the first gig, it was just fantastic!”
