Johnny Depp has always been an unusal character. Not many people think about their funerals at his age, but he has, and has some rather different ideas for it. He wants his body to be put in a drum of whisky when he dies which mourners can drink from. He says that he got inspiration for his idea from his late friend, the American writer Hunter S Thompson. He requested that his ashes be fired from a cannon on top of a tower we don't quite know how you would get the body in whiskey idea from that, but he somehow did. It was Johnny Depp who actually made his friend's wish come true. It is reported that he spent £2 million having a tower and a cannon built at a farm in Colorado in 2005 for the send off. Johnny said: "Hunter had dreamed of a special way to go. He wanted to be fired from a cannon. Brilliant! So I built a huge cannon after his death in 2005 and fired his ashes into the sky." Johnny then described his wishes and said: "I could go in a whisky cask and everyone can take a sip." It might be the gorgeous Johnny Depp, but the thought of that is making us feel a bit queasy. Johnny's new film is called The Rum Diary, and he actually plays his friend Thompson in the film. It will be out next year.
