It really is the season of break ups for the Kardashian family. Firstly it went wrong for Kim – with her 72 day wedding, and now her step brother Brody Jenner is dealing with a broken relationship. Brody Jenner was dating Avril Lavigne. Avril seemed to think he was ‘the one’ after her marriage failed and they seemed happy together. The reason they have given to end their partnership is because they are spending too much time apart. We did at one point question how Brody must have felt when Avril insisted that she still go for dinner with her ex husband. We spotted her not very long ago out with Deryck Whibley from Sum 41, and the pair claimed they were having a business meeting. A business meeting over a lovely dinner did make us wonder, but still. Avril was married to Deryck for 3 years, and got divorced in 2009. She then got together with Brody and seemed very happy, but as the reports suggest, the distance gave them problems. A source said: "They decided to end their relationship... She wanted to settle down, but he wasn't exactly ready. They had been having problems starting in the summer with her tour because she was on the road all the time. It put a strain on their relationship." Avril Lavigne is only 27 so if suggestions that she wanted to settle down are true then we’d like to call her up and tell her to get a grip. She’s still young, she can have fun! And surely she’s got tons more nights out wearing a thick line of dark eye liner to do yet before she ends up stuck indoors and make-up-less with children. Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner have not yet released an official statement about their split. Maybe they’re trying to decide what to do with their tattoos first. Yep, they had each other’s names tattooed on their bodies. Oops!
