Ariana Grande couldn't date someone her family didn't like. The 'Dangerous Woman' singer - who counts The Wanted's Nathan Sykes and rapper Big Sean among her former boyfriends - values the opinions of her loved ones and knows they only want what's best for her. She told Top of the Pops magazine: "My family is so important to me it would be hard to date someone they didn't like. "Your family only ever wants what's best for you, so try to remember that." The 22-year-old pop star believes opposites attract, but she'd never date someone who didn't like her music. She said: "It's really true that opposites can attract. "As long as you are both interested in getting to know each other's passions, it can totally work. Except if he didn't like my music." Ariana is currently dating dancer, Ricky Alvarez, telling Billboard: "We're happy. I'm a very happy girl. I have a healthy life right now, and I think that's all anyone cares to know." And although Ariana prefers not to talk about him, he has inspired her music, including new song 'Moonlight'. Ariana's friend and co-writer Victoria Monet, said: "That's what Ricky called her one night. I think it was after their first kiss. He waited to kiss her for a long time, and she was really impressed. He's such a gentleman, and the song is a great little bookmark of the start of their relationship."
