Jacqueline Jossa thinks her on-screen EastEnders father - played by Jake Wood - has the hips for Strictly Come Dancing.

The actress plays Lauren Branning in the soap and admits she believes that though everyone may not expect much from him, he's going to do well performing his routines on the BBC One dance competition.

Chatting to BANG Showbiz, Jacqueline said: "I love it. You know what? It might be a bit funny but I don't think he would have done it if he was terrible because he cares too much about how he comes across.

"So he wouldn't want to ruin the image of Max Branning... He does have good hips."

The star also admitted that she wouldn't mind giving the ballroom a try herself: "Probably. When I'm trying to lose baby weight!"
