Susannah Constantine would've felt as though she had "cheated" if she had remained on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 56-year-old TV presenter admits she deserved to be booted off the show first this year because she was "the worst dancer", but says she did her best to progress further in the competition with her pro partner Anton du Beke.
She said: "Obviously, I'm gutted to be out first. It's not a nice feeling at all, but if anyone else had gone out, I'd have felt like I cheated.
"I am the worst dancer. I am the oldest female there. I have no experience, but I went out there despite all that and I tried my best. I had the king [Anton], and even he couldn't save me! There was no hope."
However, the former 'What Not to Wear' co-host isn't sure how much more of the show she would've been "capable of".
She said: "I'm not sure how much more I could have been capable of."
Susannah and Anton's routine was the lowest-scoring foxtrot in 'Strictly' history over the weekend after they amassed just 12 points, including a score of one from judge Craig Revel Horwood.
But Anton insists his partner was "coming on so marvellously" and working really hard in training.
Speaking in a joint interview on spin-off show 'Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two', he added: "It's so, so difficult and I thought Susannah was doing an incredible job.
"She was coming on so marvellously. We were having such a great time, and working very, very, very hard... She was just coming along nicely, and then suddenly [it's over]."
