The 27-year-old star made history on the BBC One soap by becoming the programme's first regular deaf actor in her role as Frankie Lewis, but the character departed Albert Square last night for a new life in Scotland, and Rose will miss her co-stars.

In a behind the scenes video released on the show's Twitter account, Rose said: "The biggest thing I'm going to miss, I'm going to miss my family here. Especially the Carters. We've become so close.

"Without you fans, the show wouldn't happen, and Frankie wouldn't even happen.

"I've learnt so much while being here, so it will definitely will stay with me for life.

"I'm going to miss everybody here, and I just want to say the biggest thank you to everybody who works here and works hard.

"Bye bye for now and I'll see you later."

Rose also took to Twitter to thank her fans.

She tweeted: "Thank you for all the love and support. I really appreciate it"

Last month, the former 'Strictly Come Dancing' star revealed she had filmed her final scenes, and admitted it was "incredibly special" to be the soap's first regular deaf actor.

She wrote: "Start from my very last day on the square

It’s been incredibly special to be @bbceastenders first regular deaf actor. I have loved my time on the show and Frankie has been such an awesome character to play, however now feels like the right time for me to move on and I am excited and ready for new challenges. I will always treasure my time on the show and all the incredible people I have worked with, who have supported my growth as an actor these last two years and given me so many amazing memories. (sic)"
