The 45-year-old professional dancer - who appeared on the BBC show from 2004 to 2012 - thinks BBC bosses should get rid of judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Bruno Tonioli following 'Strictly' dancer Anton du Beke joining the panel.

She told FUBAR Radio: “I say sack the lot of them and get new judges in!”

Anton joined the judging panel last month and received heaps of praise from fans but Erin believes the BBC won't give him a permanent spot as they are unwilling to listen to what the audience wants.

She added: “Sometimes I think the BBC should listen. Because I think that the audience really want him to be there. They really want him to be there. So hopefully, one day that might happen.”

What's more, Erin is unsure why the 'Strictly' bosses have never asked Anton to step up to the panel before as he "fits the criteria" with his knowledge of dance.

She said: “There’s been so many occasions where he could have been a judge. People have left or, you know. But they’ve never asked him and I don’t know why, because he is the perfect criteria for a judge. So much knowledge and experience. So when they finally did, and it was only two weeks but I was totally thrilled and I thought he did a fabulous job. Shame it wasn’t longer.”

However, it wasn't just the backing off fans that the 54-year-old ballroom dancer received as his fellow professional dancers on the show were proud to have him critic their routines.

Erin explained: “I think what’s really nice for him is that he had, I think he had the backing of the professionals. And that’s quite important. Because when you are a professional and you are dancing on the show, you’ve got to stand in front of these judges and, although it’s only a reality entertainment show, it’s actually quite serious.”
