Chris Hughes says riding a horse takes him to a "great place" if he is having a tough time.
The 'ITV Racing' co-host has recommended horse riding to anyone who is going through a "mental struggle", because it always gives him a "huge sense of freedom".
Chris, who is an ambassador for Great British Racing and avid racing fan, said: "There’s no feeling like sitting on a racehorse.
"If you’re having a mental struggle or a rubbish day, they (the horses) take you to a great place and give a huge sense of freedom."
The former 'Love Island' star recently visited Welsh Grand National-winning trainer Christian Williams to see how racehorses are trained on Traeth yr Avon beach, near Bridgend.
His riding skills were put to the test aboard racehorse, Kitty’s Light, as he navigated his way through the sand dunes before taking the racehorses for a splash in the sea.
Chris added: "Riding a horse in training on the sand dunes and along the beach is a completely different experience from other training facilities I have ridden at.
"It was a phenomenal experience and the horse felt incredible, you could feel how happy and at home he was."
In June, Chris told how the ITV Racing team is "like a family" and it feels like a "cup final" when big race meetings come around.
While working with Great British Racing, he exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I love it at ITV Racing. It's just a great team, it's like a family. From everyone behind the camera, all the directors, they're all great, and everyone in front of the camera, it's great.
"I absolutely love it, I do all the big meetings with them.
"It's a big like a cup final when we cover all these race meetings. We have our production meetings and we're like, 'Come on, it's a big week.'
"Obviously Royal Ascot was a huge one, the Queen was watching at home on ITV, so we had to step it up that extra level for Her Majesty."
The Welsh Grand National takes place at Chepstow Racecourse on Tuesday 27th December and will air live on ITV Racing (ITV4) at 2.50pm.
