Cheryl cried as she took her final bow in the West End.
The former Girls Aloud star made her theatre debut by taking on a part in '2.22: A Ghost Story' at London's Lyric Theatre and she enjoyed a two-month stint on stage before wrapping up her final performance on Sunday night (23.04.23) - and video posted online showed Cheryl getting emotional as she took her applause from the audience for the last time.
She was seen wiping tears from her face and smiling before leaving the stage.
Jaime Winstone will take over the role of Jenny from Cheryl when the show moves to the Apollo Theatre in May. The plays has previously featured stars including singer-turned-actress Lily Allen and 'Love Island' host Laura Whitmore.
Cheryl previously admitted she was tempted to try her hand at acting because the part in '2.22: A Ghost Story' just felt "right" and even compared working in the theatre to being on stage as a pop star.
During an appearance on 'The One Show', she explained: "I just knew it felt right for me and I'd feel comfortable in that role ...
"I think all of it is just entertainment, I love being in front of a live audience again rather than just being on screen. You feel the audience participation ... it's like an energy exchange, which isn't that different from performing a song."
The 'Fight For This Love' star also insisted she's keen to continue acting and is looking for the right project. She said: "It would have to be something that gives me that same feeling, maybe a drama, something gritty."
