‘Casualty’ is set to return in November.
Stars Elinor Lawless and William Beck both confirmed the return date of the long-running medical drama after fans were left frustrated following another transmission break since it last aired Saturday, October 8.
Speaking to Digital Spy, William confirmed ‘Casualty’ would be back on BBC One in November.
Lawless added: "Obviously we're subject to schedule changes, there's a level of flexibility. But yes, we're back in November."
Lawless, who plays Stevie Nash in the medical soap, teased what was in store for her character who’s currently in loggerheads with Beck’s character Dylan.
She said: "For Stevie, the sparring with Dylan definitely continues and she gets in hot water with the acquaintance of a patient that potentially leaves her in danger. That was was quite exciting to film.”
Asked whether her character Stevie was a hero or villain, Elinor added: "It's definitely more complicated than that. Nobody ever sees themselves as the bad guy in their own story, right?
"She's heart on her sleeve, she's hot-headed, she's mouthy. It's interesting going ahead to watch how she is integrated more into the life of the hospital.
"At the beginning there was definitely a Machiavellian, peripheral quality to her. But you've got to love the character you're playing. You've got to be on their side and I'm on her side."
Reflecting on his own character Dylan Keogh, William said: "There's a power struggle ahead for Dylan. We literally don't know which way it's going to go.
"Ultimately an important decision has to be made between Dylan and somebody else, with regards to his position at the hospital. He gets pretty torrid."
