Billy Brown finds it “weird” how often he gets recognised in the street.
The 23-year-old hunk was a late entrant into this year’s ‘Love Island’, joining Casa Amor on Day 26, and was dumped from the villa on day 44 but his short stint was enough for him to find even going to his local supermarket a “crazy” experience because so many people want to talk to him.
Reflecting on how his life has changed since leaving the villa, he exclusively told BANG Showbiz: “I’m just a normal guy so for me coming off of it, it’s been like, ‘Oh this is crazy’, going to say Tesco. I’m a bit like, ‘What’s going on?’
“I didn’t realise so many watch the show, it’s a bit of a shock.
“It’s still weird, I’ve just come to Brighton and people are stopping me in the street. I’m not complaining, I like socialising.”
Billy has been making the most of his newfound fame and is embracing the chance to meet new people.
Discussing his future plans at the exclusive Shooshh Red Carpet End of Summer Party, he said: “We’re doing a PA tour of the country at the moment, meeting new people, it’s good.”
Since leaving the villa, Billy has collaborated with brands including boohooMAN and made several TV appearances, but he also revealed on Instagram last month that he’s also fitting in his “normal job”, with him being a roofing company director before flying out to Majorca for the show.
Billy attended the exclusive Shooshh Red Carpet End of Summer Party (@shooshhbrighton) on 1 October, at Brighton's Np. 1 VIP nightclub Shooshh - sponsored by OH Kicks and The Hilton Brighton.
