Breakfast scenes are popular among the 'Downton Abbey' cast because they get to gorge on food.
Allen Leech - who plays Tom Branson - admits he often over-indulges when he has to eat on camera because whatever's provided is always delicious.
He said: "The breakfast scenes are the best, because we usually do film them in the morning and we haven't had breakfast yet, and the woman who cooks the food is amazing. You get totally carried away and just keep eating breakfast stuff over and over.
"Before, you know it, you've eaten nine breakfasts and you go back to the trailer and have a cry."
However, Allen's co-star Michelle Dockery insists she is more reluctant to indulge on camera because of the number of retakes a scene can require.
She added to heat magazine: "I think every actor is cautious over how much they eat in those scenes because they can take a whole day and once you take a mouthful that's it - you're stuck with having to eat it again and again."
