Summer is scorching and holidaymakers throughout the UK are packing their bags with a range of holiday essentials to make their holiday a home from home.
A recent survey undertaken by holidaylettings to find holidaymakers’ top 10 travelling essentials has revealed that the UK is a nation of holiday hoarders when it comes to travelling. Holidaymakers have been exposed for the excessive assortment of possessions considered as essential travelling items.
The survey completed by over 9,500 holidaymakers revealed suitcases are packed with an array of worldly possessions that are considered daily must-haves such as soft toilet paper, feather pillows, a garlic crusher, cheese knife, pepper mill, kettle and digital radio. These “travelling essentials” are being hauled overseas and across the UK.
On a more serious note, books, sunscreen, hair straighteners, iPods, money and sunglasses are among the items that topped the poll.
