Britain's Duchess of Cambridge is likely to wear empire-line dresses following the royal baby's birth.
The 31-year-old royal donned a pretty polka-dot dress by Jenny Packham for her big reveal on Tuesday evening (23.07.13), when she and her husband Prince William unveiled their newborn son to the world.
According to style experts, Catherine is going to be adopting a similar flattering yet comfortable style of attire over the coming months.
Fashion guru Hilary Alexander told People magazine: "Coming out of the hospital, she wore a very simple, pretty dress from one of her favorite designers.
"She'll stick to an empire line for the first month. At the moment, in this heatwave in London, the looser, the lighter, the better."
However, the new mother won't be donning casual wear like tracksuits and will favour chic British brands, despite being expected to spend the first two weeks holed up at Kensington Palace while William is on paternity leave from the Royal Air Force (RAF).
Former 'Britain's Next Top Model' judge Hilary continued: "It's just too hot for tracksuits. Maybe sleeveless maxi dresses or caftans in pure cotton -- anything that is cool.
"Something easy to wear, [perhaps from] her favourite high street stores: Reiss, Hobbs, Whistles."
Catherine's baby blue dress was a big hit with fashion critics, and bore a striking resemblance to the green polka dot look Prince William's late mother Princess Diana wore for his very first outing as a baby in June 1982.
