T.I.'s former bodyguard has been sentenced to a year in prison for his part in the weapons scandal which saw the rapper convicted of illegally possessing guns.
The Live Your Life hitmaker, real name Clifford Harris, Jr., has been ordered to report to Georgia authorities by 19 May to begin his sentence after he was found guilty of possessing illegal firearms.
The punishment stems from his 2007 arrest, when he was caught attempting to buy an array of weapons from an undercover FBI officer.
Corey Williams, who began working for the star in July 2007, had purchased illegal guns on behalf of Harris, who is barred from obtaining any due to previous criminal convictions.
Williams was arrested in October 2007 and allegedly worked with police to obtain evidence to convict his former boss, according to the Smoking Gun, he has now received a sentence of one year and a day behind bars following a plea deal.
