Kanye West has found that his fame can’t save him from falling foul of the law, as he has been charged with assault, theft and vandalism following an airport brawl with a photographer.
The biggest ego in hip hop was arrested at Los Angeles airport in September after he lost his temper with a paparazzo and smashed the flash from his camera in the middle of the airport terminal.
If the rapper is convicted of assault, he could face up to two and a half years behind bars, but at least he won’t be alone, as his road manager was also charged over the fracas.
The video evidence of the Septemember 11 brawl clearly shows Dan Crawley breaking the photographer's camera, and as a result, he is accused of two counts of assault, two counts of theft and two counts of vandalism and could face up to five years in prison.
Mr West's lawyer, Blair Berk, had no comment following the charges and the Grammy award-winning musician and Mr Crawley are set to appear before a judge on 14 April.
