Mysterious boy/girl duo INK emerged on the scene in the autumn of 2012, wowing with the winning combination of beautifully quirky music and a sense of intrigue swirling around their identities.
At this point, all that is known of INK is that the band is comprised of two Londoners by way of Liverpool and Glasgow in Miriam Massie and Colin Mac.
We can now reveal that the duo have teamed up with ATG Records to release their debut single Ink Goes On on April 22nd. The 7'' release will feature This Time as a B-side, with both tracks helmed by Grammy Award Winning engineer Dom Morley.
Morley rose to acclaim offering his considered touch to the remarkable Back To Black album by the late, great Amy Winehouse.
His nous adds to the undeniable chemistry of Massie and Mac, creating gorgeous helpings of whimsy underpinned by the luscious vocal of Miriam Massie.
Ink Goes On has a beautiful premise, detailing the story of a girl who demands her lover communicates with her only in ink.
An anti-social media love song, the track fuses tinges of RnB with an infectious baseline that will remain with you long after that first listen.
The track is committed to film by exciting new talents Katia Kush and Kristine Kenmochi, who put a charming visual twist on the track.
This release represents the next step for this exciting duo. With a live show being lined up for late April, it’s time for the masks to come off and for everyone to get to know INK a bit better.
