He went out of this year’s X Factor live shows in the first week, but that hasn’t stopped Scott Bruton from making a go of his music career…. I caught up with the former Blue Coat to find out what’s changed since he left Simon’s side.
Hello there pretty, how are things going in your lovely world?
Things are amazing on a real high doing dreamboats, it’s an amazing experience for me I feel so blessed and honoured to be on the dreamboats tour.
What have you been getting up to since leaving the X Factor? I really liked you, please tell me we’re going to see more of you!
That’s so sweet, thank you so much, I hope so! Got lots of projects coming up, rehearsing for dreamboats plus working on a few other projects great things but cant say at the moment….
How did it feel going out when that awful Rachel was still in?
Don’t be tight on Rachel she was lovely. Didn’t feel any bitterness, was upset but thought let’s get on with it… Plus it’s led to somewhere really great for me now
Do you blame Simon’s rubbish song choice?
Suppose the song choice had a point to play, but he made the decisions he thought were best for me, so I really respect him for that
Do you think the right person won?
This year was the closest year. All three finalists were amazing I was rooting for Laura when I came out but Alex was amazing on the night so she deserved it.
To anyone who hasn’t heard of you yet, how would you describe your sound?
Smooth, Versatile, distinctive.
If you could cover another musician’s song, what would it be?
Daniel Bedingfield: Never Gonna Leave Your Side or The Script: I’m Yours
And can you sum up your good self in just five words?
Cheeky, Friendly, Funny, Smiley and Confident
What three bands would you have to headline your dream festival?
The Script, Goo-Goo- Dolls and Kings of Leon
What has been your favourite musical memory to date?
Besides X-factor going into the studio and recording my first single which is released digitally this week.
Who do you think is the greatest artist around at the moment?
A toss up between Justin Timberlake or Leona Lewis
If you could only listen to one CD for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Dizzy Up The Girl, Goo Goo Dolls
Okay, now we want to ask you some random questions; You’re on an airplane, you are talking pleasantly to a person of average appearance. Unexpectedly, the person offers you $10, 000 (£5, 000) for one night of sex. Knowing there is no danger and that payment is certain, would you accept the offer?
That would be telling…haha
Name an experience which features an animal that you will never forget.
I have a phobia of sheep because I went camping and the sheep tried to eat me. The sheep started chasing me and you know sheep follow each other. Well I had a whole herd of sheep chasing me!
What one thing did you always want as a child but never got?
I always wanted a Robocop dressing up set but mum and dad didn’t buy me one for Christmas when I asked for it, but it would now be Emma Watson!
