Population Four : Daff
Population Four are a band who aren’t afraid of getting their heads down and putting their backs into their music. With almost 50 shows played over the last six months, the boys are well on their way to mainstream success.
With the release of their newest E.P, ‘This Town Will Drag You Down‘, I caught up with the boys to ask them the 15 Questions We Ask Everyone; next up is Daff….
1. Hello there little monster, what are you up
Ello ello. I'm currently sat in our band practise room listening to our new CD and talking to you!
2. So, tell me about what you’re here to promote?
I was thinking about using this as an chance to promote my side project band called David and the Valentines but I think I'd get told off by the rest of
the band sooo... I'm here to promote the new CD my band Population four have just finished recording!
3. And if we didn’t have any clue as to who you were, what should we be looking up on Google?
If you type Population Four into Google you will find many things about us like photos and our music video and myspace/facebook/twitter and all sorts
of interviews we have done!
4. And as Jacko had the Moonwalk and Elvis had the snake hips, what do you have that makes you unique?
Well... We have a ball as a singer, a nose and a broom as guitarists, Dr. Cox as a bassist and beaker from the muppets on the drums.

5. Now, clearly we need to get to know each other more, so tell me an interesting fact about you that no one else knows?
I actually hold the world record for most freddos eaten in one minute.
6. What song do you wish you’d written?
I wish I'd written All the Small Things by Blink 182. That song has like 3 chords in it so I bet it was easy to write and I'm pretty sure it made them a lot of money, and I could do with a lot of money, because I am poor!
7. If I was contemplating coming to your show or sitting at home and TV, how would you convince me to come out?
You get to see 5 fat guys dance about and sweat on a stage as well as play some sweet music and who doesn’t want to watch that??
8. And if you were to take me on a trip to your hometown, what would be the first place we’d go?
I would bring you to our practise room because it is totally awesome and you will never want to leave! Then we can make you our tea lady and you can go
down stairs and get us chocolate bars and drinks while we practise. I will also let you venture outside to go to Hero Burrito for us because that place rocks!
9. What’s the best prank you’ve ever pulled on someone?
Well I'm not much of a prankster but we played a show about a year ago in a small town called Longridge. We were all pumped up for the show and Rick, as usual, was reading a book. So we stole it off him and threw the book to Si. He ran off and got in his car, threw the book on the floor and parked on it so Rick couldn't get it back. Then we trapped his arm in the car door window and started driving off. Good times!
10. And what’s the most daring thing you’ve ever done? Please tell us how it ended up!
I once trekked Mount Everest in only my undies, with a bottle of water and a copy of playboy. It ended with me wrestling a bear at the top of the mountain. I bet you didn’t know they have bear wrestling at the top of mount Everest did you? Well they do, and i know, because i have been there!
11. If you had to date a member of the same sex (or opposite sex if the case may be) who would it be? Mine would ALWAYS be Angelina Jolie.
I'd date Rick, but i know he secretly wants to date Ceres so i have no chance!
12. Have you ever been naked in public? Elaborate.
Well I've had my pants wapped down in countless night clubs and house parties. I have also got naked and ran down a few roads in the night, but I haven't
been naked in public during the day... Yet.
13. Have you ever been arrested? Again, elaborate.
No, I am a good lad! I never get into trouble ever!
14. Speaking of prison - if you were to send someone to prison for crimes against music, who would it be?

15. What were you doing last night at 11?
Nothing fun! I was tucked up in bed because i had to be up early for work.
