Deaco

Deaco

Hailing from Reading, Deaco, made up of Deon Ezra A-Star and CRS-1 are gearing up to release their third single Slow through Schizofreniks.

Having already established themselves as a force to be reckoned with on the UK R&B market with previous songs such as Gimme That Love, Slow , their new single definitely one for the ladies is guaranteed to place all eyes on them.

With a stage show to boot and killer smiles for days FemaleFirst.co.uk is proud to bring to your attention Deaco….JLS who?

How long have you guys been together?

We’ve been together now for 3 years writing, releasing records but still a long way to go!

Where did you all meet?

We all met in our hometown Reading. Our mums and dads are all friends and we grew up together, since young.

How easy was it for you to all get on the same page musically?

Well as we all come from Reading we all use to go out to clubs together and listen to the same similar music but we have all got different tastes in music from neo soul to pop to rock, rap all kinds so musically we all can express our different tastes.

Four man collectives have been the backbone for soul music, what do you hope to bring to the music scene as Deaco?

Just something real, something people can relate to, we’re not your usual polished boy band! What we sing about or write about we can relate to and have experienced.

Your new single Slow is a guaranteed hit with the women, is that who you primarily target with your music?

This song is written about women but it is also for men to relate to so that you can respect your woman. When you’re in a relationship its good to take things slow u appreciate the time and your partner more. Why rush things when you can take IT SLOW lol

I have never seen you perform live but apparently it is quite a spectacle. How important is performing live to you and what is it about it that you love?

Performing live is very important to us. It shows your fans that you can really sing and gives you, the performer, a chance to react with the people that are supporting you. It’s a great feeling to hear people sing your songs back to you.

With eyes and ears already on you through previous singles, what are the next steps for Deaco?

Just to keep making credible music people that music that people can relate to or and dance to. Finishing off our album and just focusing on making feel good music.

With a four man collective getting so close in X Factor this past season, has that helped you guys in any way?

The only way I think that it would help us is that the world has seen a four piece band on main stream TV, JLS, so they’ll be expecting more to come out. Once something good comes out they will need more like it but in Deacos case we’re different. We want our music to speak for us without being in a Reality TV show.

Was the talent show route something you ever thought about taking?

We have thought about it but decided against it, as we want to put in the time and effort to make it in the music industry. The X Factor show has had some real talent win recording contracts and sell records but not everyone has lasted in the game.

And we believe that when you go on those shows your setting yourself up for being told what to do, what to sing and that’s not what Deaco’s about.  We want to make it for ourselves based on our own talent so that we can be can be real for the fans of our music.
