"Mirrorwriting is a remarkable debut. Sensational? Definitely." -The Sunday Times ****
"Woon's managed one assured and beguiling hybrid of UK bass pressure and slick blue-eyed soul." -Pitchfork 8/10
Jamie Woon releases his debut album 'Mirrorwriting' today, April 18th. The first single 'Night Air', released back in November 2010, coming backed with remixes from Ramadanman and Becoming Real, re-introduced Jamie not only as a talented musician but also exemplified his ability to marry his unique vocal style and production capability, helped in part from a working relationship with the elusive London producer and friend, Burial. Heading into 2011 Jamie landed a spot in the BBC Sound of 2011 Poll, cementing the ever growing anticipation for 'Mirrorwriting' and why Jamie is considered such a huge talent.
Already completing a sold out tour around the UK and making his US debut at SXSW and shows in New York, his next UK tour kicks off in May. Second single Lady Luck was released last week, continuing the trend of working with forward thinking producers, the single came backed with remixes from Hudson Mohawke, dEbruit and Royce Wood Junior.
