Recently voted the coolest decade of the last fifty years, the 1980s revival has in recent years seen repeats, remakes and sequels to a string of popular films and TV shows.
Harrison Ford returned as Indiana Jones and Sylvester Stallone has made new Rocky and Rambo films. Now is the turn of the music industry with an entire festival devoted to the music of the decade, which will see the biggest line up of eighties artists since Live Aid 23 years ago.
The country's latest boutique camping festival is expected to attract over 20,000 people on the weekend of August 21 - 23 to the stunning riverside location of Temple Island Meadows near Henley on Thames.
Between them these artists have had an amazing 171 top twenty hits and been in the charts for over 47 years. In addition to the main stage line up, the festival will include a host of other entertainment from funfairs and fireworks to eighties discos and The Comedy Store tent.
A great selection of posh nosh and theme bars will service the festival day visitors and weekend campers alike, whilst the campsite which runs beside the river also features a range of glamping options (glamping is the term used to describe glamorous camping - tents already erected for your arrival as well as tipi villages etc).
There's even a ‘family field' for parents with youngsters a little further away from the nightlife and a special RV (recreational vehicles) field for all those with motor homes and campervans. If you want to do it in style, there are even moorings alongside the site.
